Christmas Fundraiser in Aid of the Hackney Winter Night Shelter
We are inviting you to our pub and taproom, The Pembury Tavern, for an evening of fundraising in aid of the Hackney Winter Night Shelter. And, we are offering you a free beer from the bar in exchange for your unwanted warm clothing!
For seven nights a week across six months of the year, the Hackney Winter Night Shelter (HWNS) provides a hot meal and a warm bed for homeless guests who would otherwise be out on the street. Running from November until March during the coldest winter months, the shelter provides a lifeline for the homeless of Hackney, offering professional and holistic support to help guests rebuild their lives.
Swap clothes for beer!
To help the HWNS collect warm winter items for their homeless guests this year, we are offering a free beer in exchange for your unwanted clothes! Bring your old coats, jackets, jumpers, shoes and rucksacks to the bar and swap them for a free pint. Items such as t-shirts and socks will get you a half pint for free.

The Pembury Tavern kitchen will be adding a limited addition Christmas pizza to the menu for the month of December, with 50p of all proceeds going to HWNS.
